Property Investment in the Middle East

The Middle East Property Market is gaining alot of attention with the collapse of many Western markets and what can only described as Wild West boom times. Massive construction, huge returns in both capital and rental growth; if you time this right you will do well. When we were over at the expo a Russian fellow turner up with $30m in cash...
Middle East Property Investment probably has legs in it, but it has all the signs of a self fulfilling bubble. As long as all the construction continues at the same rate then growth should continue. If it slows then some people are going to get burnt.
Construction quality is pretty variable and some of the red tape is frustrating (although this is getting easier).
If you are tempted to invest in the Middle East then try and get some inside support (there are plenty of expats living there). You will also probably need to be a cash buyer if you are a non resident, but things are changing so quickly over there!
