Brisbane & Queensland still looks a little shaky, so be careful as there is some reliance on the mining sector. Having said that we have a couple of properties in the Mackay region that have held up surprisingly well, but there are in the $200k to $300k bracket. perfectly suited to downsizing..
The Gold Coast looks like it is going to take a bigger hit than most on the economic front, so we wouldn't be rushing there in a hurry; for the streetwise there could be some good offloads form struggling developed by make sure that you know the market well.

Brisbane has had a strong run recently and is taking a little breather at present.
It is an interesting market as along with significant population growth in the capital , the whole of Queensland has significant population growth, major infrastructure plans and continued strong economy with the resources demand.
Seen as a continued growth area 2010 onwards by most sources.
We are favouring transport hubs and commuter zones for Brisbane as well as some targeted resource focused towns (large ones only with other industry bases)
